STYLE ANALYSIS - Types of aesthetic in fashion. Welcome to the start of my new mini series! Here, I ponder how I would describe my style and what people may define my style and aesthetic as.. leading me to select 4 key fashion aesthetics which inspire me the most in the way I dress and analyse them, doing an in depth dive into their origins, the key elements and sharing fashion ideas, inspirations and examples from a wide range of people who incorporate these particular styles into their fashion. Today, I share Vintage fashion, including sub-categories of vintage, retro and antique, touching on the idea of ‘repro fashion’. I delve into the ‘Arty’ aesthetic (arty, art mom. plant mom, etc.) derived from the ‘Art Hoe’ movement. Also I look into e-Girl and introduce myself to e-Girl fashion and style elements, finally I finish off with Grunge and discuss the origins and driving forces behind the lifestyle it originated from. To complete the summary, I share a little about myself, my opinions and perspectives and how I view my own style and aesthetic, preparing for a deeper, more in-depth dive into my own personal style in future… leading to the next Style Analysis. Who am I? What is Style Analysis? This is my little series where I deep dive into fashion aesthetics that inspire me in the way I dress, present and style myself on the daily. In these videos I’ll be diving into the origins of each style, leaning more about how they came to be, analysing key staples and what makes it what it is. I share some brilliant examples of outfits from brilliant content creators, alongside my own. The ultimate goal is that after exploring all the key aesthetics, I can have a much wider range of knowledge and truly be able to define where and what my key inspirations are and learn how to accurately describe my style.
