If your positive characteristics emerge only when there is a specific situation created for their
manifestation, then they are like a perfume in you, Mahatria says. They are only temporary.
When your qualities are not dependent on external circumstances and are present at all times, then, they are your fragrance. Perfumes are from the outside while fragrances are from the inside out, Mahatria explains.

Look within and find out which of your qualities are a perfume and which qualify as a fragrance. Whether it is to be happy at all times, love at all times, or be a champion forever, pick one quality you would like to convert into your own fragrance. Set a goal to make that change.
If you can identify one positive quality that is your fragrance, you will be able to respect and love yourself better.
