Most glorious time of babble economy period, in Tokyo Roppongi Minatoku Japan, we could find so many expensive cars such as BMW or Audi on the streets. Well, at the end of the day human beings are vein and want to be looking good and rich. If we wanted to show off in that time of period we needed to chose cars like Ferrari, Porsche or AMG. Although in that glorious empty time, there were wise men who were easy going and living in their own styles. At that time, mini cars such as Fiat Panda or Rover Mini were also popular carried a slogan “Cute is Justice!”.
So! let me introduce you that cute Pandas today.
First model of Fiat Panda was invented by the late 1970s wearing Italian style designed by Georgette Giugiaro’s team requested by clients such as “ Productive, cost performing, 4 seater’s low end car, but don’t forget some sensuality, too❤︎ Well, very Italian.
So they were designed and created as the square FF mini cars, mass of liner body panels and flat glasses. They removed curvy lines as much as they could so these cars were very productive with low prices. Although they looked simple and elegant rather than looking just cheep.
They named those cars as “Panda” since the cars looked like giant pandas with two tone colors with black on under parts and ivory on main body parts. Maybe it could be started like “Oh this car looks like a Panda, isn’t he?” “ You got it now, that’s it! Let’s name him Panda!”.
They made Panda during 1979 - 2004 ( official importing finished in 1999). In 1986, they made minor changes to the cars and after that, the cars were named Serie 1 (with Capter system before MC) and Serie 2 ( with Injection system after MC). They have several different types of engines but basically they are near 1000cc. Body size : length: 3,380mm × width: 1,460mm × height: 1,445mm and they are perfectly fitting for the mini cars.
Team ‘Rescue Panda the middle age uncles’ ignored Ueno city but hurried up straight forward to the utopia of Panda cars ‘Euro garage’ in Komidama city, Ibaraki prefecture. When they arrived, they saw Pandas, Pandas, and Pandas.. wow they were just like colorful baby chicks. The view was just breathtakingly outstanding!!
That garage is near Ibaraki airport and many Panda hunters are visiting to take a glance of them from all over in Japan.
Maniac people sometimes seek original system 30 ( Sanmaru) with air cooled 2 cylinder’s engines. But regarding to that systems are getting aged and quantities are few, marketing places mainly sell newer system cars which carrie water cooled 4 cylinder’s engines.
Except manual missions, there are cars called “Selecta” which are the combination with Subaru’s CVT. They were caught on by the beginners and ladies as well.
By the way, there are cool lineups of part time 4WD cars “4×4” which was invented with the partnership of the company Syteyr Puch ( Now they are called Magana Sytwyer ).
2020, it is a 40th anniversary year of
Phi fat pandas’s debut. Including ladies and children, everyone loves Panda the “Cute is justice”. They are easy on the wallets of middle age uncles, too. Hmmm love them so much!!
