Kenyan Catholics join the world in observing Ash Wednesday Catholic faithful in the country joined the rest of the world in observing Ash Wednesday. The annual traditional ritual marks the beginning of the 40 days lent season ahead of Easter celebrations. In Nairobi, arch bishop John cardinal Njue called on the faithful to use the lantern season to pray for the country.
