Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has stated that powers have been given to the Forest Department chief to release compensation to people who have been affected due to wildlife attacks. Replying to calling attention raised by MLAs regarding the recent death of tigers, CM has informed Govt has taken all the precautions to ensure that the killing does not recur. He has informed that watchtowers will be installed in wildlife areas. CM Sawant has stated that Government has taken efforts to rehabilitee the Dhangar families from Golavalit-Sattari.Opposition MLAs have requested that the tigers be protected and have demanded for a tiger reserve or corridor.
