On a pristine stretch of Indian Ocean’s coastline, the undulating facade of Sea side cafe recalls the waves below. The Major process of designing is to do the concept and story behind the design. This is important to us to make sure that there is a strong narrative that is carried through the details of the design, ensuring each detail plays its part but without feeling contrived or superfluous to the design - Says Ar.Rubeena.
Dining out is rarely just about the food. The scene, the socializing, and the sense of a special event are equally important. When done right, a restaurant’s design enhances all of these elements. A simple meal seems that much more appetizing when paired with appealing furniture, luxurious finishes, and alluring lighting. The compact kiosk—occupying just over 200 square feet—houses the cafe's kitchen in addition to the Juice/Coffee bar, which serves international brews. Diners need to see and be seen by the staff, for obvious reasons: Diners should feel that their every need can be attended to at the soonest possible time, while staff need to be able to anticipate diners’ needs. This is an important consideration when balancing privacy and the openness of the layout. A glass wall separating the café from the roasting room allows customers to observe the coffee making process and admire the roaster in action. The roaster is set on a platform and surrounded by bar seating, allowing patrons to watch the roasting process. Lighting, of course, also has several practical considerations aside from aesthetics. They must be safe and low-maintenance, easy to control throughout the day, and must meet the highest energy standards possible.
