Trick for Screen Printing Personalized Shirts with One Screen on Alternative T-Shirts and Sweatpants

Trick for Screen Printing Personalized Shirts with One Screen on Alternative T-Shirts and Sweatpants Do you coordinate matching pajamas for your family to wear on Christmas morning? This year I wanted to make my family coordinating bear shirts.

The Challenge: Screen printing these personalized shirts would typically require 3 different screens (one for mama, papa and sister). I wanted to find a shortcut, so I tried something... something a little crazy.  All of you professional screen printers are probably thinking I'm nuts for even sharing this.  But, it worked... and I made 4 shirts for my family in less than 15 minutes... and only had to wash my screen once!  Since this is something I would totally do again, I wanted to share it with you - despite the inevitable comments that this is not the "right" way to screen print.

If you are an at-home crafter like me, this is a great shortcut for personalizing shirts while still taking advantage of the benefits of screen printing using your Cricut or Silhouette machines.
