Re-imagining High-Stakes Testing That Is Affordable, Accessible, and Equitable

In June 2017, NACAC issued a call for testing providers to
offer more innovative, accessible, and secure admissions
testing options for students. More than two years later
international students in particular face obstacles related
to testing. This session will feature admissions officers
and counselors reflecting on the current state of high stakes
testing and whether there’s movement towards
alignment with NACAC’s call to action. How can we shift
the status quo forward so that we can alleviate some of the
continued challenges endemic in traditional testing? Can
the emergence of new technologies alleviate some of the
continued challenges? The panelists will solicit a discussion from attendees on what the future of testing looks like, and
invite participants to re-imagine a world where testing can
be more affordable, accessible, and equitable.
