Vulnerable in Itself -- Street Vendor Project || Report on Women Vendors in NYC "Sadly, we face a lot of dangers in the street. Because the truth is that, as women, nobody values our work like that of men. We suffer assaults....sometimes we call the police and they do not come."

The findings of our new report with recommendations on how to help women vendors like Maria.

Description: Over the past year, the Street Vendor Project interviewed 50 of our female members about their lives, their work, and their daily challenges. We have compiled the results of this survey -- the first of its kind -- into a report we will be releasing on October 28th.

Where do women vendors live? What do they sell? What are their fears? What can be done to support them? The report includes detailed recommendations for policy makers and the non-profit sector can do to improve the lives of women street vendors in New York City.

This webinar was led by Kele Nkhereanye and Julie Torres Moskowitz -- two SVP Advisory Board members with deep knowledge of the field -- highlighting the findings of our report while centering the voices of women who participated.

Originally broadcast on Monday 28th October.
