We have just begun Women's Month in South Africa where we remember the more than 20 000 women who marched to the Union Buildings on 9 August 1956 to protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women. We are also coming to the end of National Science Week which is meant to increase awareness about science. To help us unpack the significance of women in science and engineering, we are joined by Dr Reevana Balmahoon from Women in Engineering.
