FIRST TIME MAKING A CHICKPEA OMELET! HOW DOES IT TURN OUT? Welcome to another Breakfast Series video this time featuring a recipe I have never done before using the glorious ingredient, CHICKPEA FLOUR. If you have more chickpea flour recipe ideas, please reply in the comment section.

Below is the smoothie recipe I make to hold me over while preparing the omelet.

Blended Green Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup celery
1 cup chopped kale
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup frozen dark cherries
1 tsp spirulina
1/2 tsp bamboo extract
2 large scoops hemp protein
2 cups nut milk

Chickpea Omelet- 2 Servings

Ingredients:

Chickpea Batter-
-3/4 cup chickpea flour
-3/4 cup nut milk
-2 tsp apple cider vinegar
-2 tsp nutritional yeast
-1/4 tsp turmeric powder
-1/4 tsp onion powder
-1/4 tsp garlic powder
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/4 tsp baking soda

Omelet fillings-
-1 handful cauliflower or broccoli, chopped
-2 tbsp chopped red onion
-1/3 medium jalapeño, chopped
-3 small mushrooms, chopped
-1 tbsp minced garlic

Omelet toppings-
-half an avocado, sliced
-2 tbsp fresh onion, chopped
-2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
-2 heaping scoops of salsa

Instructions
1. Whisk batter ingredients until mixed evenly. Set aside while prepping vegetables.
2. Sautée omelet filling vegetables with a couple splashes of water until soft and cooked through.
3. Spray or splash oil on skillet evenly then pour half of chickpea batter.
4. Once bubbles begin to surface place sautéed vegetables on one half of the omelet.
5. When most bubbles are popping, fold omelet over, turn off stove, cover the skillet and allow omelet to steam for 5 minutes.
6. Serve with fresh ingredients, spices, avocado, and salsa.
7. Add salt and pepper to taste.
