He says he doesn’t understand the concept of buying insurance only for oneself, this implies they want to protect themself but not their family members. His advice is to buy health insurance for the entire family. He defines this by adding, anyone who is dependent on you. Be it your spouse, children, dependent parents, even dependent siblings. They should all be covered under the healthcare policy which you buy.
