Walls of Jericho | From the snow-blanketed trailhead to waterfalls in the amphitheater

Walls of Jericho | From the snow-blanketed trailhead to waterfalls in the amphitheater Hike with me into the Walls of Jericho! It's a well-traveled 6.6 mile out and back trail that will carry you past springs, over creeks, alongside rocky bluffs, and into an incredible amphitheater that lies just across the Alabama-Tennessee state line. To make the most of this hike, plan to camp at one of the primitive campgrounds along the trail.

The majority of this hike was recorded on February 8, 2020, when the trailhead in Jackson County was blanketed with snow, but I returned on February 17 to record a bit more in and above the amphitheater.

If you’d like to see the Walls of Jericho yourself, I’d urge you to make this hike, but plan ahead. Start early and give yourself plenty of time to hike. Bring water, snacks and a headlamp or flashlight just in case. It starts out easy, but gets more difficult as you go.
