Fiji Met Office has upgraded 18p to Tropical Cyclone "Wasi" currently a Cat 1 system and likely to intensify further. The Office is indicating a possible Cat 3 (Au scale) cyclone.
Various warnings remain in place.

The wording contained within the Joint Typhoon Warning Centre's current advisory is worthwhile noting.



The JTWC has also issued a Cyclone Formation Alert for the Tropical Low (Gulf of Carpentaria) Invest 99p.
