Lake Michigan's record high water level is wreaking havoc on Michigan's shorelines - aerial footage Record high water levels in the Great Lakes are wreaking havoc on Michigan's shorelines. Eroding bluffs have already led to the collapse of one West Michigan home. Aerial videographer Randy Claypool captured this footage in 2019 showing the dramatic erosion along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Claypool is the owner of Truly Michigan Aerial, which is based out of Muskegon.
