📝 greetings from the tail end of an all-nighter,
here is some fun retail therapy i had back in december! i stocked up on some refills of products i love, tried out new interesting ones and treated my inner 5 year old to some nice things. most of these have been good purchases - i’ve been using the washi a lot, loving the lipstick, all the jagabee has been eaten but the anti pimple cleanser has been irritating my skin a lot, 0/10 would not recommend.
i always find all-nighters very psychologically therapeutic, as unhealthy as they probably are for your physical health. going into them is usually a flurry of mental chaos, stressing about too many things to get done in too little time, or overthinking to the point where sleep isn’t an option. in the darkness and in the quiet, the world outside fades away, and it becomes just you and yourself, breathing and simply existing. it is easier to ease the traffic jams of the mind onto freeways, flowing and falling away, wherever they end up going. when the sun rises again, you are left with a clean slate with more completed, less clutter. a fresh page to start the morning on, even in the hazy fumes of sleep deprivation.
whether you need to pull an all-nighter or not, i hope you find time to treat yourself to a fresh page, in your own way and in your own time.
