We DIY'd Luxury Vinyl Flooring In Our Skoolie!

We DIY'd Luxury Vinyl Flooring In Our Skoolie! This is how we installed our DIY Luxury Vinyl flooring in our Skoolie! Mike had never done this before, but figured it out immediately. On thing we did differently than most people, is install the planks across the bus instead of lengthwise down the bus. Honestly, this was a purely aesthetic choice for us (although we knew it would cause Mike to do more cutting). We thought putting lengthwise planks in an already long, narrow room would only make it appear even narrower. We hoped that placing then crosswise would help give the opposite effect! To be honest, you can't see the lines between each plank as much as we thought we would, but you can definitely see the grain of the "wood," so we're happy with our choice to put it across the bus!

About Us:

Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We're building a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!
