White House National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien said the U.S. has reached out to North Korea to resume nuclear negotiations. However, North Korea's foreign ministry adviser Kim Kye-gwan made it clear that dialogue can resume only when Washington fully accepts Pyeongyang’s demands. He also added that the personal relationship between the leaders of the two countries would not bring the North back to the negotiating table. Meanwhile, there is speculation that the missiles Iran used to attack U.S. military bases in Iraq were built with North Korean technology. It is believed that Iran and North Korea have cooperated in their missile development since the 1980s. What implications does this cooperation have for the peace process on the Korean Peninsula and North Korea-U.S. nuclear talks?
