If the world hated us, it's only because we are not like them. We have an aroma of the spirit and it offends people. People consider it either life for life or death for death. God is a polarizing God Who has a plan for every being.
We are set apart from the world from before the disruption of the world, that God may show favor to those who He declares believers, even before coming into belief. Nothing is without purpose. All things are created that God may delight in His Son and receive glory because of this fact.
