Escape from Tarkov: Actual budget beginner gear, easy to acquire READ DESCRIPTION It seems to me like everyone got it wrong. Spending 100-200k on a gear that's gonna maybe help a little bit against SCAVs and you will still get 1tapped by players is kind of waste of money. In this video I'm gonna show you how to acquire completely free items that will actually be decent and help you survive against other players. Ignore items I'm wearing as these are not important (I've picked them up from a SCAV in a previous raid, they're trash), ignore modded weapon as it has no impact on presented strategy whatsoever - you can do this perfectly fine with completely stock Saiga-9 (10k roubles on the flea market), Kedr (12k roubles), AKS-74U (15k flea market), Glock (barter trade) or PM pistol with 84-rounds drum mag (18k for the mag). Weapon choice is unimportant, as is ammo - more expensive ammo =/= better for unarmored body shots, here I'm running 9x19 Pst gzh - easily available from traders, dirt cheap - stack of 50 rounds cost about 3k roubles. For example you may have heard 5.45x39 PRS is super garbage ammo you don't want to use - and that's true... except when you're going for body shots as it has moderately high body damage (and trash armor penetration) comparing to otherwise better ammunition. What is important that your weapon has at least 30 round magazine and can fire moderately fast.

To get our starting gear we will go Interchange at night (not important but a lot easier as SCAVs have much shorter detection range). Buy/find your weapon of choice, get 30-round (or more if your weapon allows for it) magazines x3, load it with whatever ammo you have at hand and wear SCAV vest so you can reload if need be. Backpack is recommended just to pick up extra goodies but not necessary. Once you enter the match, you rush Killa location - it's a SCAV boss of Interchange. He has about 1/3rd chance to spawn and can be in one of few places between BTR (shown in this video), Mantis (shop on the corner) or Viking (shop on the left when entering through main middle entrance into the mall). Once he spotted you, you will have about 0.5s before he opens fire and mows you down and no armor in the game will protect you (so you may as well run naked if you want, be careful of regular SCAVs though!) - hence why you do not want to engage him over distance (also he will throw grenades if you're far enough and he has plenty of those). Once you get the aggro, you run into one of the shops and he will follow you there. Be prepared and aim at his legs and start firing as soon as he appears. Killa is extremely dangerous, however if he starts receiving damage before he opens fire, he will be stunlocked (he will start firing as soon as you stop damaging him, so do yourself a favour and don't miss too much). One 30round mag is more than enough to put him to sleep. Honorable mention goes to MP-153 auto shotgun (need 8-shell magazine and Buckshot Magnum rounds are optimal price/performance) as well as Saiga 12ga (10-shell magazine mandatory unless you're so good you won't miss any of your 5 shots)

This isn't the most efficient strategy to farm Killa, however it's the one that will cost you next to nothing per attempt and will not damage his armor, nor will let him waste ammo or grenades. He also has full Salewa on him so you can do your runs after failed attempts without healing and heal once you've achieved your goal and head extraction. It's advisory to have 3000 roubles in your pocket just so you can extract via Powerplant car which 99 out of 100 times is completely uncontested. Also, due to your weapon choices, they will almost always come back with insurance - nobody other than pistolings/hatchlings picks them up.

With under 20k investment when looting RPK equipped Killa (he has 3 different loadouts, the other weapons aren't nearly as lucrative but still are great to use!) you receive :
- 80-100k worth of a gun depending on it's mods,

- 200k worth of best penetrative 5.45x39 ammo "Igolnik" (if he didn't fire a single round you will have 275 rounds total),

- 3x60-round magazines (33k each),

- 1x95-round magazine (24k),

- loads of grenades (8-13k each depending on a type),

- chest rig equivalent to Triton (20k),

- potentially valuable key or lab access key card (180k) (most of the time it's lab entrance card, however sometimes it's Marked Room key, Factory Key or other limited-use keys on Reserve map,

- Killa armor, Tier 5, super good, can be repaired multiple times (loses 1 durability per repair) - damaged cost 250k, pristine 60/60 goes for 330k
- Killa helmet, Tier 4 helmet, Tier 6 (!) mask. Mask has very bad visibility but hey, it's a freebie and it will stop vast majority of bullets in the game, so it's quite useful, even if cumbersome - you can rise mask when out of combat. Other than limited vision, helmet also limits sound and doesn't allow to wear Comtacs. Helmet vendors to Skier for 141k.

In summary, for each successful run you will be getting, on average 1 million roubles worth of gear.
