Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda was speaking in Rajya Sabha after the Lok Sabha bill was tabled. He said that the Modi government was doing what Doctor Manmohan Singh once suggested. He said that Dr Singh said to then Deputy PM Advani ji, on treatment of refugees and persecution of minorities in countries like Bangladesh, that we should have more liberal approach in granting citizenship to them.
