"Sette per Sette / Sieben mal Sieben" establishs a set for a discussion among seven people, each person plays a given role: a mayor, a local citizen, a salesman, a tourist, a foreigner, a street artist and a policeman. After several minutes, all seven people change their roles. The presuppositions, the matter and the contents of the film all revolve around an imaginary city, but the critical points concern problems which many cities have in common: the relationship between a city and its tourism - the way "normal" and everyday life reconcile with this, and the way economy is connected with the city's daily flow of tourists. Other topics are the concepts of public order and who has the control - either real or perceived - of the city.
