5O% 0ff Mr. Heater on Amzn (applied at checkout) : These Heaters are very useful. Their size and output are perfect for any camping needs. Biggest downside to this Heater is consumption. There is no setting that will get you through an entire night of sleep. The amount of heat is great on either setting, but there is no feature that promotes circulation of the heat. Heat rises, so plan accordingly. Tip over sensor is very sensitive and can be easily triggered by slight movement of the unit.
Unless you are handling the unit a lot once it is fired up, you shouldnt have any issues with its sensitivity. 3 hours of run time on High and up to 6 hours on Low setting from a 1 lbs Propane canister. 20 lbs tanks provide up to 100 hours of heat depending on setting. We have run into issues where the Heaters will not remain lit when using in conjunction with a 12 foot hose and 20lb Propane Tank.
We have found that the Temperature of the tank has an impact on Propane flow, and this can cause a bit of starving. With a little patience, we have been able to get the heater to work consistently if we let the line fill as well as keeping the tank as warm as possible. I also clean the pilot port with Isopropyl Alcohol after every camping trip. Fast and convenient deployment makes this a great heater for someone that needs portable heat. We have safely and successfully used this heater on multiple trips in our Ground Tents, Rooftop Tents, and Camper.
