Moncton Industrial Switcher - CN 537 - Rarely Seen Locations - Highway Crossings - Horn Action!

Franklin Spur, Humphrey Spur, Dieppe Spur - rarely seen locations in the Moncton area!

CN train L537 is a CN local train serving the industrial Parks in the Greater Moncton area. The train is usually powered by two (sometimes just one) EMD Geeps - often GP9RMs, GP38-2s, GP40-2LWs, and recently a GMTX GP38-2 has been working CN 537. CN 537 runs to the CN Franklin Spur (off of mile 128.9 CN Springhill Subdivision) and the Humphrey Spur (off of mile 122.3 CN Springhill Subdivision) about 2 to 3 times a week on alternating days. On occasion, CN 537 will work on the CN Dieppe Spur (off of mile 118.5 CN Springhill Subdivision) after working on the Humphrey Spur. Sometimes CN 537 also preforms yard duties within the Gordon Yard such as working the auto compound or at Cargo Flo.

In this video, I look back at some railfanning of CN local train L537 from September 30 to November 6, 2019.

The dates, locations, and locomotives are as follows;
Clip 1 - Sept 30 - Units 4134 (EMD GP9RM), and 9515 (EMD GP40-2LW) with one tankcar on the CN Franklin Spur at the Moncton Industrial Park.

Clip 2 - Oct 10 - Units 4721 (EMD GP38-2), and 4134 with four cars on the CN Humphrey Spur about to cross the Trans Canada Highway after working at the Caledonia Industrial Park.

Clip 3 - Oct 16 - Unit 9411 (EMD GP40-2LW) working solo with five cars on the CN Franklin Spur after working at the CO-OP feed mill.

Clip 4 - Oct 20 - Units 4721, and 4802 (EMD GP38-2W) with 19 cars including 18 empty autoracks heading to the Painsec Junction siding for storage on an Ad Hoc move.

Clip 5 - Oct 30 - Units GMTX 2293 (GP38-2), and 4721 with several cars on the CN Franklin Spur working at the CO-OP feed mill, then blowing at a crossing on it's was back to the Gordon Yard.

Clip 6 - Nov 2 - Units 4721, and GMTX 2293 with two hopper cars on the CN Dieppe Spur crossing the busy 4 lane Highway 15 with lots of horn action.

Clip 7 - Nov 5 - Units 4134, and GMTX 2293 with four cars on the CN Humphrey Spur at the Caledonia Industrial Park.

Clip 8 - Nov 6 - Units GMTX 2293 and 9454 (EMD GP40-2LW) with four cars on the CN Franklin Spur on it's way back to the Gordon Yard.
