In this video DreamcastGuy gives his early impressions of Death Stranding after the first 10 hours of play in a review style format. The gameplay is reviewed and random clips of the story are shown with no spoilers.
Death Stranding[c] is an open world action game developed by Kojima Productions. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their disbandment from Konami in 2015. It was released for the PlayStation 4 by Sony Interactive Entertainment in November 2019, and is scheduled for release on Microsoft Windows by 505 Games in 2020.
The game is set in the United States during the aftermath of a cataclysmic event, which caused destructive creatures from a realm between life and death to begin roaming the Earth. The story follows Sam Bridges (played by Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with delivering supplies to the fractured and isolated colonies that remain, and reconnecting them via a wireless communications network.
Alongside Reedus, the game also features Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Troy Baker, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Guillermo del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn and Lindsay Wagner in supporting roles. Following its announcement at E3 2016, Death Stranding was widely anticipated. It has received generally favorable reviews from critics.
