Being a young and impressionable merm, Wurt has grown quite fascinated by the Survivors and their strange ways. Bucking the usual merm tradition of simply stomping anything new and strange into the ground, she has decided to venture outside her cozy swamp to learn more about these odd scale-less beings. Perhaps this will be the start of a new chapter in Survivor-merm relations...
Wurt can spot where danger is hiding in the swamp
Wurt can craft the Royal Tapestry and make a home for the Merm King and his Guards:
The Royal Tapestry requires materials from all over The Constant
The Merm King provides all Merms extra strength to fight
Wurt must feed the Merm King to prevent him from starving
Wurt can craft Merm Houses and Merm Flort-ifications
She moves faster while on the swamp and can craft tiles to expand her turf
Wurt is a vegetarian with a particular appreciation for Durians
Wurt can craft a Clever Disguise to get other survivors to blend in with her swamp friends
Likes to keep Pet Fish in her inventory
Strongly dislikes Pigs
Being wet does not affect her strong grip
After about three weeks of Beta, Salty Dog is now fully released in Don’t Starve Together. This is the second installment of updates under the theme entitled “Return of Them,” the first being Turn of Tides. This release introduces to the game a brand new boss mob, salt which can be gathered from the ocean and used in crafting and seasoning, a brand new ocean mob that can be killed to craft a new helmet, and this gorgeous trailer animation that showcases some of the new features. Nothing much has changed in these additions since the Beta, and if you want an in-depth look at everything be sure to check out my guide to everything new in Salty Dog.
Over the next several months, Klei will be releasing a series of game updates available to all players, under the single thematic focus entitled “Return of Them."
Charlie’s machinations have come to a head as she turns her attention towards the skies - and the mysterious entity that awaits there. Our Survivors will be forced to contend with terrifying monstrosities beyond their comprehension, and yet, there may be a silver lining: their minds and horizons will be expanded under the sublime light of an ancient moon.
Here is an overview of what was added in the first update, Turn of Tides:
Added a new multiplayer-centric boat mechanic, where players can build and deck out a boat for multiple survivors to travel together on
Added a new Seafaring crafting menu
Added the Lunar Island
Added Enlightenment
Added 3 new Lunar Island biomes, along with new creatures, objects, and craftables
Turn of Tides focused primarily on building the fundamental tech and infrastructure for Return of Them. Over the following months more content is expected to be added to both the islands and the sea.
Don't Starve Together is the standalone multiplayer expansion of the uncompromising wilderness survival game, Don't Starve. Now including Reign of Giants; adding new characters, seasons, creatures, biomes, and Giant new challenges to Don’t Starve Together. Cooperate with your friends in a private game, or take your chances with strangers online. Work with other players to survive the harsh environment, or strike out on your own. Do whatever it takes, but most importantly, Don't Starve.
