Secrets of Kochi! Vlog 1.0: A Colourful Celebration in Mattancherry (Subtitles Included) Hey guys! So this time we are off to Gujarat Colony in Mattancherry near Fort Kochi to celebrate Navrathri! The Gujarati community is one of those groups who made this Queen of the Arabian Sea their home.

These settlers landed in Kochi about 225 years ago and have become an integral part of the socio-cultural life of Mattancherry. Though they mingle wholeheartedly with the rest of the populace they have kept and preserved their cultural identity. The Guajarati community in Mattancherry is a fine representation of the cultural harmony that exists in Kerala.

Watch us celebrate this little known absolutely colourful festival in Fort Kochi with lots of dancing, food and tons of fun!

P.S: Subtitles are available for people not from Kerala!
