Laos National Dish LAAP (This one was my favorite) + VIENTIANE Cooked Food Market | LAOS

Laos National Dish LAAP (This one was my favorite) + VIENTIANE Cooked Food Market | LAOS Day two from Vientiane.

I went on the search for a Khao jee sandwich and ended up at a place that seemed to be serving up more of a Banh mi style baguette sandwich. No matter what, the sandwich was absolutely phenomenal.

Next, I had what was probably one of my favorite meals in all of Laos. A super spicy, bitter, and funky laab pia. This thing rocked my world, in a good way. Perfectly combined with the soup.

Next day I started off with some pounded salads. Of course I had a very spicy and funky tum mak hoong and then since I cannot read the local language. I just closed my eyes and picked another type of pounded salad. The second couldn’t have been more perfect as it was sour and a tad bit sweet.

Then of course I went for some noodles. Long, white, chewy noodles in a flavor packed chicken broth. The broth was by far the winner as it was rich, garlicky, and had an intense chicken flavor.

Lastly, I went to a market! A much more local market than what I thought I was going to! It had a ton of local dishes prepared for take and go. Unfortunately, I had no where to go so I just had a nice little snack to finish the day off!

Just a guy from Arkansas chasing his dreams of traveling the world, meeting amazing people, and trying all the delicious food I can find!

Recently finished working in Hong Kong. I am from a small farm in the states, I am now taking advantage and the opportunities I have to travel the world in search of some of the most delicious foods, unique places, and friendliest people.

A lover of street food, good laughs, and learning about other cultures. I hope to indulge in all these things and more as I bring you along with me on my epic journeys.
