Recently, GoPro's Abe Kislevitz posted a tutorial for reframing the GoPro MAX. The video seems to show realtime stitching. I looked at the sample files and I discussed why it might not have realtime stitching with stabilization.
I found that GoPro MAX uses a proprietary file format that appears to use either a cubemap, or possibly an equiangular cubemap (EAC). Equiangular cubemap is a format that Google created that has more detail in the middle of the video than standard equirectangular format. The workflow seems to be somewhat different from realtime stitching, but is more similar to Insta360 One X's workflow.
