Kimberly Nelligan, 33, is said to have used the drug on one-year-old Jordy at least 15 times before the infant died in October 2018, according to court papers. The little girl was found dead at her home in Bangor, Maine, by emergency responders and Nelligan was arrested on Monday, charged with child endangerment and drug possession. On Wednesday Nelligan gave the finger to reporters and repeatedly swore during a foul-tempered court appearance. An expletive-ridden video later emerged on social media which shows her blasting her accusers and vowing to clear her name in court. In the explosive tirade, she claims she is being set up by the baby's father Shane Smith - who has given evidence against her - and insists she "did nothing at all". Glaring at the camera, Nelligan says: "All you scumbag b***h m***********s who have no idea what even happened, you guys are all listening to what is said in the newspaper because that's what was said from her (Jordy's) own father. "Her father decided he was gonna say - to get himself out of this s**t - that: 'Oh, yeah. I think Kim rubbed it on her gums.' "Okay, if you guys think that really happened - and this happened a year ago - I'm not even charged with her death, I'm charged with allowing somebody that was using drugs around her, endangering welfare of a child. "Shane Smith is the one who was smoking fentanyl. I don't give a f**k if any of you believe me, I could care less. I'm the one who's passed a drug test and he hasn't passed one in I don’t even know how many years. "So, f**k everyone, you piece of s**t b*****s and when it comes out that I did nothing at all you guys can rot in hell, you f*****g piece of s**t." A coroner's report determined that baby Jordy had synthetic opioid fentanyl in her system, a powerful painkiller that is often mixed with heroin and is 50 times more powerful. The report concluded that Jordy had ingested the drug and said this could have happened if it had been rubbed around the inside of her mouth. After initially denying she had ever used heroin, Nelligan admitted to snorting the drug every week for two months before her daughter's death. Photos posted to Nelligan's Facebook page in June show drugs and drug paraphernalia, with the caption: "Yay buddy." The baby's father told police that he saw her rubbing the drug residue into their daughter's gums around 15 times, according to the affidavit.
