Hurricane Dorian is speeding towards the northeast, and will arrive in Nova Scotia on Saturday where it could still have Category 2 hurricane force winds. The storm will turn post-tropical shortly after landfall when it passes Newfoundland.

Typhoon Lingling is weakening off the western coast of South Korea, where heavy rain is falling and strong winds extend out several hundred miles.

Typhoon Faxai is developing considerably, and is a long range threat to Japan where it could strike as a Category 2 or 3 typhoon.

Tropical Storm Juliette continues to weaken in the Eastern Pacific

Tropical Storm Gabrielle is continuing to struggle in the Eastern Atlantic, but is still expected to become a hurricane next week.

Tropical Storm Akoni dissolved in the Central Pacific.

Invest 94L could become a mild tropical cyclone in the Central Atlantic, with the potential for further development later on.

Invest 95W could develop into a significant tropical cyclone in the Philippine Sea.
