How Do You Take Care of Your Baby Giant Panda? Zoo Berlin is home to the latest members of the giant panda club. Two cubs were born at the German zoo to mom Meng Meng. The cubs are still tiny, each weighing less than a pound. Adult giant pandas can grow to weigh as much as 350 pounds. Zoo Berlin is getting help from China's Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. There are fewer than 1,900 giant pandas living in their natural habitat, so every addition to the species counts.
