DOG NAIL TRIM HOW TO HELP DOG ENJOY (TOLERATE ) IT. Is your dog afraid to have their nails trimmed? When you pick up nail clippers or Dremel, does your dog run away and hide in their crate. In this video, Nicky learns having her nails dremeled is OK. Nicky is rewarded for every toenail that is trimmed. We are desensitizing Nicky to having her nails dremeled by doing one toenail and stopping and feeding her, counterconditioning her to to tolerating having her nails dremeled by feeding her cheese. Nicky uses her nail scratchboard to file her front nails.
