This is a bug that's about as old as Doom itself: If you save your game while standing partway off the edge of a raised surface (a platform, ledge, cliff, pedestal, etc.), you may find yourself stuck inside it when you reload the game. Sometimes you can force your way loose (try moving away while in Run/Sprint mode), or use cheat codes to escape, if your version of the game allows it. Note however that some Doom games, including the July re-releases, will disable Trophies or Achievements in games where cheats were used.
Shown here is an example from the July 2019 re-release of Doom II on Xbox One. But this bug also exists in various other versions of Classic Doom 1 and Doom II games on multiple platforms.
If this happens in a computer version, and you can't break free by Running, try using a walk-through-walls cheat: Type idspispopd in Doom 1 games, or idclip in Doom II based games, to toggle the cheat on and off.
If playing a version that does not have a walk-through-walls mode but has other cheats available, toggle invincibility on, and try using the blast from your rocket launcher to dislodge yourself. If you don't already have a launcher and ammo, use a "give weapons" or "happy ammo" cheat.
