As per the instructions of Ministry of Home Affairs to form teams for Operation Muskaan-V during the month of July 2019, Cyberabad Police has formed teams for Operation Muskaan-V in the nine divisions of Cyberabad.



This year a dedicated campaign “Operation Mukaan-V” was conducted throughout Cyberabad Commissionerate, during July 2019.



All 9 teams were headed by Inspector (W&CSW) Shri. Venkat Reddy and supervised by Smt. C. Anasuya D.C.P (W&CSW).



During this operation the trained police teams screened and rescued vulnerable children. Particulars of such identified children have been checked and uploaded in Facial Recognition App i.e., DARPAN.



Unique feature of Operation Muskaan – V. To trace out the missing children, children involved in child labour, bonded labour, micro industries, begging and trafficked children, rescue them and restore them to their parents and family members. A unique feature has been the use of technology by rescue teams in the form of Facial Recognition App on TS Cop as well as DARPAN. Also with data base being developed, repeat incidents involving children in child labour is noticed which will be monitored further with the help of concerned departments.





The Statistical brief is as follows :-

Cyberabad Police topped in Telangana State by rescuing 541 children and also registering maximum number of FIRs, 247.

 Total 541 children were rescued ( Minor boys –483, Minor girls 58)

 Total FIRs/ Cases registered - 247

 Children restored to parents or guardians – 62 ( Boys – 54, Girls 8 )

 No. of Children admitted in rescue homes – 479 ( Boys – 429, Girls - 50 )

 No. of children rescued who belong to other States Total – 338 (Boys – 316, Girls 22 )

 Street children rescued – 43

 Children rescued from labour - 426

 Total begging children rescued – 39

 Total Rag-picking children rescued – 33
