To see if the Switchlok IS better than the Quadlock, I took them both out for a spin and did 10+ exercises with BOTH products on my arms. How many times do you think the Switchlok fell off?
Exercises tested:
1. Double Unders
2. Kettle clean/deadlift/swing
3. D-Ball Cleans
4. Ring Muscle Ups
5. Bar Muscle Ups
6. Handstand Pushups
7. Power Snatch
8. Power Cleans
9. Push Presses
10. Burpee Over The Bench
11. Running
So first of all, the Switchlok will come off easily. BUT not when you don't want it to. The ONLY exercise that the Swithlok fell off was on the Ring Muscle Up which was to be expected given that the straps make contact with my arms. The Quadlock didn't fall off BUT it was pulling on the rings so it wasn't much better either.
Overall, I'm quite impressed with the mounting system on the Switchlok. Prior to this video, I had used the product as my daily case for 13 days and didn't have any issues with the mounting system. It worked cleanly and efficiently. The vent mount worked well and didn't feel flimsy like the average mount.
If Swithlok can get a Qi-mounting solution, it's going to be pretty awesome.
Swithlok is a newer company and I'm excited to see what they bring out next!
