These three methods I've used and work for different scenarios. The first is the bespoke/case on case pricing which you'll use when you make made to measure garments. This methods helps you give prices based on the difficulty and style of your client's garment. I find that this works well to create prices that are fair to each client. To get a bespoke price, you'll need to multiply your decided hourly rate by the number of hours it takes you to make a garment, plus all expenses incurred and then add tax. This final price will vary from one client to the next.
The second pricing strategy is to have a competitive price that can be used around special times of a trading year to help attract new clients or create more awareness around your business.
The final strategy is to have a flat rate which you'll charge clients for a category of garments. This method makes price negotiations easy and straight forward. To arrive at a flat rate, you can figure out how many hours it takes you to make the said garment category and multiply that by your hourly rate.
I hope this makes the video more comprehensive and straight to the point. It took me sometime to figure out how to price my garments, but with time you'll figure out which strategy works for you. Feel free to share any questions and suggestions below.
